Heritage Federal Credit Union… Making a Difference Since 1965! Heritage Federal Credit Union began in 1965 as Warrick Employees Federal Credit Union for the employees at ALCOA Warrick Operations in Newburgh, Indiana. We had an interesting start to the credit union — United Steel Workers Local 104 union members started conducting financial transactions out of the trunk of a car. Our founders were looking to provide affordable financial products and services. We continue that tradition with competitive rates and exceptional services right here in your community.
In 1983, our credit union became community chartered, and today, our membership is open to everyone who lives, works, worships or attends school in Vanderburgh, Warrick or Posey Counties in Indiana or Henderson County in Kentucky or who has an immediate family member who does.
