Commercial Site Do’s & Don’ts: Talk to the Experts
What does the City of Evansville Site Review Committee, Vectren and the Vanderburgh County Health Department have in common? They all want you to succeed! The Southwest ISBDC and the Latino Chamber Alliance are bringing together these three major players to help you and your business thrive.
This event will have a Spanish Translator available.
1. Site Review- City Speak 4:00-5:00 PM
We invite you to come and talk with the Evansville Site Review Committee. Learn what you need to know about improvements to your current building or relocation of your business. Find out what permits are required for signs. The committee consists of members from Area Plan to Water & Sewer to the Health Department and other city departments will answer your questions on the spot.
2. Vectren's Programs 5:00-5:30 PM
Learn more about Vectren's Commercial Energy Efficiency Programs. Through these programs, commercial customers can receive rebates or instant discounts on a variety of energy efficient improvements. Examples of eligible improvements include lighting, HVAC, and commercial kitchen equipment. In some cases, small businesses may also qualify for a no-cost energy assessment.
3. Food Safety 5:30-6:30 PM
This presentation will be conducted by the Health Department and will cover food safety and important information for those wanting to open a restaurant, food truck or participate at a farmer’s market or festival. Also will include sewer and building regulations.
Opportunity available for a ServSafe scholarship.
